About Nerato

Nerato is a product of YesCapt. This notice explains how information is handled when you use the Nerato website and PDF redaction service.

PDF processing

PDF files you upload are processed to detect potential personal or sensitive information, generate previews and create the redacted PDF you request.

Uploaded PDFs are held in temporary processing sessions. These sessions normally expire automatically after 15 minutes. Completing a redaction consumes the temporary session.

Nerato does not use uploaded PDF content for advertising or marketing.

Privacy-safe operational telemetry

Nerato records limited aggregate operational telemetry so that service usage, reliability, errors and abuse can be understood.

The analytics database is designed not to store the uploaded filename, PDF contents, detected text, email addresses found in documents, IBANs, temporary PDF session tokens, or visitor IP addresses.

  • Country code supplied by the network edge.
  • Language shown by the site.
  • HTTP status and privacy-safe error category.
  • Coarse file-size bucket.
  • Page and detection counts.
  • Number of OCR pages.
  • Automatic and manual redaction counts.
  • Processing duration.

Retention

Uploaded PDF sessions normally expire after 15 minutes and the original session is removed after successful redaction. For network recovery, the already-redacted output may remain temporarily in memory for up to 5 minutes before automatic expiry.

Privacy-safe operational analytics are currently retained for up to 90 days.

Messages sent to [email protected] may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to the report.

Infrastructure and analytics providers

Nerato uses infrastructure and security services including Railway and Cloudflare to operate, protect and deliver the service.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used to measure page views and website performance. This analytics service is configured as a privacy-focused, cookie-free measurement service.

Cloudflare may also process technical information and use strictly necessary cookies or similar mechanisms when required to provide network, security or access-control functionality.

Incoming messages sent to [email protected] are forwarded using Cloudflare Email Routing to the service operator's verified destination mailbox.

Your choices and rights

You are not required to create a Nerato account to use the public PDF redaction tool.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights regarding personal information, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and the right to complain to a competent supervisory authority.

Changes to this notice

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Nerato's features, providers or legal obligations change. The date shown at the top identifies the current version.
